I had JOSH as my server he was great and good looking. He was friendly and very professional this evening he took time talk to us considering it was my friends birthday.

Josh was amazing. The only waiter to genuinely care about our experience here. Everyone else ignored us after we were not ready to order yet. Josh was very understanding and gave great suggestions and we enjoyed our service with Josh. He is amazing and very friendly yet professional. He did not treat us differently based on our appearance like the other severs made us feel like we did not belong. He engaged with us through his time serving with us and I will return eagerly and request Josh for my experience. Other than that my steak was cold.

If you ever come to birmingham you have to visit this restaurant the staff are amazing, the food is amazing, the views are amazing, Emma is the staff that served and she was very kind and was attentive. I could not have asked for a more beautiful experience than this. They also offer halal options as well for steak. All and all I would definitely be coming here if I ever visit birmingham again.

We had the tasting menu at 24 Stories and were honestly blown away. Everything was beautifully done from start to finish. Jeanne looked after us and was so attentive throughout, which made the whole experience feel really special. You are just paying for the view me and partner went for a nice meal for our 1 year anniversary and we had about 4 different served girls behind us being loud and taking photos with a camera on full flash and on FaceTime to each other, my partner and me had to go up to the bar to ask for a pudding menu and again to pay for the bill and at the end we had a couple of gift cards to use and waitress refused to use more than two overall very disappointing experience won’t come again for food

Special occasion venue, great views across the city. The fixed price lunch was good value and dishes were all nice (although the steak came with no accompaniments which could have been made clearer!), was a little disappointed in the service, the waitress allocated to our table was sullen and positively unfriendly, definitely needs some customer experience training, the main hostess was welcoming on arrival and maitre d' was decent though but with a service charge of £30 added you want excellent service all around. It is a wow factor place and with a few tweaks to service would be a 5/5.

City view is fantastic. Steak tastes burnt. There's something strange about the bill. Service is definitely below average - unfriendly and cold. It took 2.5 hours to serve two courses.

Visited here the day of the eclipse, so perhaps my experience wasn't the norm, but it was very busy and the service was somewhat lacklustre.
This main dining area has strange acoustics so it felt very loud to the point that it was difficult to hold a comfortable conversation.
My partner and I both ordered steaks, and the presentation was as basic as it can be, they weren't even dressed with garnish or a side salad.
After dining, the server did not return for a courtesy check or to see if we would like to order desserts. I had to approach the host point to request the bill so we could leave.
The bill was presented as £142, but the server mistakenly entered £412 on the card machine. In his defense, the server noticed the error pretty quickly and refunded me the £270 difference, but it took 5 days for the refund to appear in my account.
One of the managers offered a bottle of wine on my next visit by way of compensation for the inconvenience, but this offer was made verbally rather than in writing or by email, so I am unlikely to capitalise on it.

Edit: I have lowered my score due to the awful follow up by the management team, who made next to no effort to address the concerns I have raised. I had received a generic response that failed to acknowledge my main grievance, instead focusing on lesser points, which felt like the central issue was being side stepped. When I called this out in another detailed written response, the manager claimed that he was new to the role and asked me to phone him to further discuss the matter. I felt that this was unnecessary since all the relevant information had already been conveyed, and I am simply not interested to continue jumping through arbitrary hoops. I would prefer to use this opportunity to warn other guests of my experience than to try to win some kind of goodwill gesture.

Amazing view and we were there mainly for drinks, but unfortunately the service was disappointing. As it was my first visit, I expected the staff to be more welcoming, but they came across as very cold and unfriendly. I kept saying thank you whenever they came to the table, but there was no acknowledgement or attempt to engage. The view is beautiful, but the service definitely affected the overall experience. Not sire if I will visit again because of that.

I have to admit, I had an incredible evening at 24 Stories, and it was an experience I’ll genuinely remember. We arrived, the atmosphere was stylish, elegant and buzzing, creating the perfect setting for a memorable night out.

The views are absolutely stunning. Looking out across Birmingham from so high up gives you a completely different perspective of the city. Watching the skyline transform from daylight into the evening, with the city lights gradually coming to life, made the whole experience even more special.

The food was outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavour, showing real attention to detail and quality. The menu offers a fantastic selection, and each plate felt thoughtfully crafted rather than just another meal. The presentation, taste and creativity really stood out.

The drinks selection was equally impressive, with plenty of great options that complemented the food perfectly. Everything about the evening felt carefully put together, from the food and drinks to the service and overall atmosphere.

A special mention has to go to the staff, who were welcoming, professional and attentive throughout the evening. They struck the perfect balance between providing excellent service and making us feel completely relaxed.

One thing that made the evening even more memorable was that I took a bit of a gamble by booking a late-night table and bringing along my two little ones, aged three and one. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but they absolutely loved it. They were warmly welcomed by both the staff and the other guests, with plenty of smiles and kind interactions that made us all feel comfortable. The music was spot on, the DJ created an amazing atmosphere, and seeing my children enjoying themselves while taking in the energy of the place made the night even more special. It turned into one of those wonderfully unexpected family evenings that we’ll remember for a long time.

24 Stories is somewhere I’d happily recommend to anyone looking for exceptional food, breathtaking views and a premium dining experience in Birmingham. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply treating yourself to a fantastic evening out, this place delivers.

I’ll definitely be back to work my way through more of the menu.

This feels like a place built more for Instagram, which is fine, but not my thing. People had their phones out at almost every table. Again, fine, but I hated it.

The AC was broken so the place was boiling. These things happen and they did email us to warn us and said we could cancel. However, with this in mind, iced water could have been constantly refilled. It was not.

We started with cocktails, bread and olives. They were out of oysters (we wanted some) and caviar (we didn't want any). They forgot our olives, but still tried to charge us for them. They didn't pace the meal well. Before we had finished the bread and cocktails, our mains were served. We'd already ordered wine to come with the mains. That came about 10-15 mins later. My rare steak was actually medium.

We did have dessert, which was fine. But it took us forever to get the attention of the serving staff to get the bill and it was not a particularly busy night (it was a Tuesday).

The panoramic views really don't make up for the poor food and service.

I don't think I'll be going back.

Beautiful views and very nice atmosphere. The set meal is excellent value. We were there pre-theatre matinee so timing mattered. Service was speedy but calm and our server friendly Michela kept our glasses topped up as we treated ourselves to bottomless bubbles which was fun. Highly recommend.

This place is only good for pictures. The actual food is mid at best, the service was bad. People rushing for us to leave. I asked for my leftovers take home, and they wrapped it in tinfoil. For a high end restaurant you would at least expect tupperware? Even though the service was bad we were still charged a hefty service charge. I won’t be returning.

Don't bother turning up just for drinks. I was taking my wife there for her birthday. We wanted to experience the venue with the thought of booking a table for future celebrations. We were told that its not possible to enter...even though the bar was visibly empty!
We will not be returning as there are many venues that will accommodate us!

Beautiful Setting, Completely Ruined by the Staff

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after my experience at 24 Stories Birmingham, I feel people should know what to expect.

The venue itself is stunning and has so much potential, which makes it even more disappointing that it is completely let down by its staff. This wasn’t just one of the worst hospitality experiences I’ve had. It was, without question, the worst.

From the moment we were seated, the service was inattentive and unprofessional. If the staff genuinely don’t enjoy working in hospitality, they should reconsider whether it’s the right industry for them. I’ve honestly received better customer service in Nando’s and even McDonald’s, where staff are far more attentive, respectful and welcoming.

All four of us ordered medium-rare steaks, yet every single one was so tough that none of us could cut them properly. My friend politely asked for another knife, explaining that hers was too dull. The waiter (the short Asian male) immediately responded, “They’re all the same.” When she explained again that she physically couldn’t cut her steak, he rolled his eyes before reluctantly returning with another knife. Instead of handing it to her, he threw it into her hand. I’ve never experienced behaviour like that from a member of restaurant staff.

Once our plates had been cleared, we declined dessert and asked for the bill. We then waited over 20–30 minutes before anyone brought it over, and only because my friend got up and asked for it herself. After the bill arrived, we waited another 20–30 minutes for someone to bring the card machine. Once again, my friend had to walk over to the till to ask if we could pay. The waitress then responded with, “Well, am I supposed to come to your table?” In a full-service restaurant, the answer is quite simply yes. By that point, we were completely fed up and just wanted to leave.

I almost never remove a service charge because I appreciate good hospitality. However, in this case, I couldn’t justify paying for a service that was barely provided. The restaurant wasn’t even busy, yet we were left waiting excessive amounts of time for the simplest requests. Meanwhile, tables that arrived after us were served, finished their meals, paid and left before we had even received the opportunity to pay. It genuinely felt like the staff were picking and choosing who they wanted to serve.

When we were asked how the food was, we were honest and said it wasn’t great. Surprisingly, there wasn’t even a follow-up question asking why. There seemed to be no interest whatsoever in customer feedback or improving the experience.

It’s such a shame because the restaurant itself is beautiful, the location is fantastic, and it has everything going for it. Unfortunately, the attitude, lack of professionalism and complete disregard for customers completely overshadow anything positive about the venue.

As a food and content reviewer, I will be sharing this experience with my followers because this level of hospitality simply isn’t acceptable. Customers should be treated with respect, regardless of who they are.

I won’t be returning, and I certainly won’t be recommending 24 Stories Birmingham to anyone. The restaurant has so much potential, but until the management addresses the behaviour and standards of its staff, it will continue to disappoint. If I could give this restaurant 0 stars, I absolutely would, but unfortunately that’s not an option, so 1 star it is.

The booking process was very seamless and the staff here are so attentive and wonderful. The food met exceeded my expectations - we had a Sunday Roast, perfectly cooked and presented! Great value for money too. There are small details that made it so memorable to me like the Penhaligons hand wash and lotion in the bathrooms, as well as having the best bottled water I have ever tried. The view over the city is lovely and I will definitely be returning.

We were here yesterday for my friends birthday as a group of 7. We were sat in this amazing booth with a great view of the sunset and of the rest of the restaurant. Wine list was great and the cocktails were amazing. They also took great care of one of the guests with an allergen. Personally i had the oysters which were amazing and the lobster left me speechless. The table enjoyed the gnocchi, steaks and asparagus starters too. Gigi and Klaudja were our servers and we couldn’t have been happier with their service. Extra shoutout to Gigi for being so charismatic! We loved her! Definitely will be coming back!

🌆 Amazing Views, Disappointing Food 🍽️

Visited recently and while the location is definitely a highlight, set high up with stunning views over Birmingham 🌇the overall dining experience was a bit underwhelming.

The portions were quite small for the price 💸, and unfortunately the flavours just didn’t hit the mark for me 😕.

On the plus side, the staff were friendly and welcoming 😊. However, it feels more like a sit-down restaurant than a casual bar. There’s limited space to stand or grab a quick drink 🍸, and unless you’ve pre-booked, it’s not the easiest place to just walk into 🚫.

Personally, I’d come back for drinks and the view 🍹✨, but not for the food. There are definitely better spots in Birmingham for tastier meals at a more reasonable price 👍.

Honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time.

From the moment we walked in, everything just felt easy and welcoming. Our coats were taken straight away and we were offered drinks almost instantly, which set the tone for the rest of the night. The staff were so polite and attentive without ever being over the top – they checked in at the right times and made sure everything was perfect for each course.

The food itself was incredible. Every dish looked amazing and tasted even better. The steak was cooked exactly how it should be – really tender and full of flavour – and the starters and small plates were just as impressive. You can tell a lot of care goes in into what they’re serving.

Even the dessert was spot on and a really nice way to finish the meal.

Overall just a genuinely great experience. Brilliant food, lovely atmosphere, and service that was spot on the whole way through. Would happily go back again.

Would like to return at another time as we went late on a Saturday night and was a little bit too noisy. There was a DJ and I guess perfect if your out for Saturday night drinks.

I had the pleasure of attending 24 Stories as part of a corporate celebration for top leaders in the UK, and it was absolutely stunning! The atmosphere is gorgeous, perfect for photos and content for socials.

The food was incredible. I’m gluten-free, and they had thoughtful options just for me, plus alcohol-free wine, which is such a lovely touch, you don’t always see that. The service was friendly and professional, making the evening seamless and enjoyable.

As someone who runs a business online helping busy women make money from home, it was amazing to celebrate in person with with the team and just celebrate our successes. I can’t recommend 24 Stories enough for any special event, it’s a beautiful space with impeccable attention to detail and the perfect place to celebrate.

We had a lovely meal on the 24th floor! The views were incredible, and the service and decor were excellent—my son enjoyed the atmosphere very much. The portions were great for an adult, too.
While the fish was a little on the salty side, the desserts were a total win. The Crème Brûlée was a standout; I loved that the sugar top was fired just long enough to create a dark, crackly, and slightly smoky caramel crust. We’ll definitely be back for the view and the sweets!

We spent an evening at 24 Stories (formerly Orelles) for the other half's birthday and had a wonderful time at this venue. As it was a birthday celebration we wanted to go somewhere 'special' and 24 Stories didn't disappoint. Wifey walked out of the lift (as the restaurant is on the 24th floor, hence the name) and was greeted by Min (our lovely host) with a fabulous bouquet of flowers and a wide smile! Min then proceeded to take us to our table which was situated in the main restaurant by the window with fantastic views of the Birmingham skyline. The sight actually got better as it got darker as the lights from the buildings start to illuminate the night!

After being seated, we got menus and ordered cocktails before selecting our starters of pulled beef chin croquettes and prawns. For the main course we had pork cutlet and half a lobster. All of which were served nice and hot and in a professional and courteous manner. The service we received on the night was truly outstanding and we had a great time!

Wine wise, as it was a celebration, we ordered some bubbly which was served perfectly chilled and tasted great!

The 24 Stories team also arranged a small birthday treat for the wife at the end of the meal. All of which made the occasion that little more special!

Finally to end the night off, Min arranged for us to have seats in the bar area at the front of the restaurant where we just chilled after the meal over more drinks again looking out onto the City centre night scene.

All in all, we had a wonderful time at 24 Stories and we want to thank all of the staff there who took care of us. Special 'shout out' to Min for going over and beyond for us. We really appreciated it!

Tried this beautiful restaurant for brunch to celebrate my birthday….. absolutely gorgeous. Service was amazing…. A special Thank you to Marco & Lawrence . Food was so tasty, bubbles kept flowing and we had a table with a great view of our city even on a misty day. A wonderful way to celebrate a special occasion! One of the best places in Birmingham for an elegant bottomless brunch

A fabulous restaurant and bar on 24th floor with great views over Birmingham city centre. We enjoyed probably the best cocktails you could find in the city. Thanks to Charlie for a fabulous cocktail

Now dont get me wrong, this restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the service was great i just think the food lacks.. i hate having to leave a restaurant and go somewhere else for food because the portions are tiny

I dined with the graduation set menu, which had a complimentary glass of prosecco. The set 3 course menu selection was small but had a good variety of options for a very reasonable price. The staff were excellent, warm and welcoming. It is a short elevator travel up to the 24th floor, which is a very open space, airy and has large windows which provides a very atmospheric and calming environment with beautiful views of Birmingham. The food was delicious, with elegant presentation and well balanced flavours. The mushroom tart was delicious and the best mushroom starter I've had, the main course I had was the chicken, which was on the drier side but had a lovely thin gravy and creamy mash which balanced the dish very well. The creme brulee was also absolutely delicious, creamy and a perfectly caramelized and crisp sugar top. It was a very worthwhile experience and I definitely will be returning.

We stopped by for after work drinks. I had a lovely refreshing cocktail and arancini, and enjoyed the weather on the ground floor terrace.

The service was absolutely stellar and I would like to say a particular shout out to Charlie who was the waiter/bar tender and looked after us very well.

He was extremely professional and hardworking during an evening, which is so rare to find. He was attentive and I want to say props for him for respectfully challenging an absolute tramp of a customer who tried to walk off without paying for his bill. (Stay at home if you don’t want to pay for your drinks!!) 🥴 Scruffbag. Thankfully, the rest of the evening was lovely. But anyway thank you Charlie!

What a beautiful place with the best views of the city! Really enjoyed sipping a cocktail watching out the windows.

Michela was our waitress for the majority of the evening and she was fantastic, it was such a pleasant, quiet evening.

Food was presented beautifully and the portion sizes were just right and was faultless.

By far the best steak I have had in my life, no chewy fat pieces, melts in your mouth seasoned and cooked to perfection. The French fries out of this world. Service is extremely professional

Friday night date. Food and service was excellent. The atmosphere was perfect for a Friday with the restaurant almost full and the DJ providing perfect music for the evening.

We had a full three courses and choose the steak to share. Prices are not cheap but value for money when all things considered.

Will return in the future for a special occasion.

Had an incredible birthday lunch at Orelle today. The atmosphere was extremely relaxed and the views over Birmingham were fantastic.

We opted for the fixed price menu which was extremely reasonable for the quality of food over the 3 courses. Would definitely go again!!!

Customer service was poor and cold. A couple of the waiters were really nice however the receptionist and manager came across really cold and rude. Only one of the 3 starters tasted good and I’d reorder and just one of our 2 mains were good. The lobster dish was so bad overall and chewy. I was really looking forward to enjoying this place as the venue was great and fancy for a special event but the food and service (except waiters) was disappointing. Would like to see something change.
