Had a Sunday roast, which was delicious. You had a choice of 1 or 2 meats/fish with sides & Yorkshire pudding. There was 8 of us, food came out hot! Staff were lovely A+++
Had the pleasure of going for a family meal. The atmosphere was very relaxed and chilled. When black people are eating in a restaurant you know the food is good! Deejay keep them pina coladas coming. Natty keep inventing them new cocktail moves. Food was amazing, portions of ample size. I will be back

I took the family and family friends for a graduation celebration meal. I was seated by Natty who has a lovely vibrant personality and seated us swiftly. We were them served by and incredible and energetic waiter by the name of Deejay (pls don't cuss me if I spelt that wrong) who made my parents and auntie extremely welcomed. They have expressed to me multiple times how enjoyable deejay made the entire experience. He really understood how to maintain and enhance the vibes and was also very respectful to my elders which I really appreciated, but also adapted his energy to myself and my younger cousin who had recently graduated.
Overall fantastic experience. Couldn't fault the wait times for seating, drinks or food. The staff were reasonably attentive without going overboard. My jerk salmon pasta slapped as did my 2-4-1 Mango Spice cocktail. Deejay you done convinced mom to return for another pina colada, she's your problem now 🤣

I’ve always heard great things about Mellows and it really is worth the visit! The price of food is on the pricier side but tasty. Ordered the jerk lamb with rice and peas for £21.99. That was amazing the flavour in the lamb was very nice. Also the jerk salmon pasta which was good portion for £19.99, and a decent amount of pasta.The dumplings were £2 which was a high price but they did taste delicious. The staff were all polite and did their job just fine.
When you look at the menu you might think it looks a bit teef. Then the food comes out and you realise a) the portions are DECENT b) the taste and flavour is top drawer.
The cocktails were spot on too 🍹

Great atmosphere, fast and friendly service, great food. I loved my Sea Bass Special with sides of classic Rice & Peas and Mac & Cheese. Bonus points for lots of plant-based and fish-based menu options.

On my first visit to Mellows, the food was beautiful but the service was quite relaxed.
However, I went today with 12 people to celebrate a family birthday and the food was gorgeous. The service was amazing this time around, as well. I wish I got the man’s name for appropriate recognition but he was a tall man, with short curly hair. His energy was fantastic, kept checking in and was so friendly. The service really added to the experience of Mellows.
To add, he also checked if anyone had fasted. My husband and I were fasting and he provided the table with dates. Very thoughtful touch when faced with a wait time for food. Highly recommend.

Visited Mellows tonight. I ordered jerk chicken, rice and peas with spinach with a pineapple salsa. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Nice friendly staff that made us feel welcome. Definitely will visit again soon.

I called about my family booking and I was left on hold!! No one came back. 22/02. Then when I called back, the attitude I got was unnecessary. They couldnt find my booking until I got him to really search. Unprofessional and family bday ruined!!

And omg all I can say is this is the best Caribbean food I have ever eaten. The oxtail tasted amazing and the curry goat melted in your mouth. I called to advise I was having trouble online due to their website error not allowing you to get past card pre auth . I asked for support and to make the booking on the phone and got shunned away with a sigh. Not even trying to help just told me to use a tablet or something !

Upon arrival to our booking at 8.30 we were told there was no more oxtail or curried goat left. It was disappointing, however, there were other things we wanted to try. After we were seated and had received our drinks, we were then told that the only meat left was chicken. By this point, it was getting late and we'd already started our drinks. One of the waitresses proceeded to say "I don't know why we booked you in at this time, our latest booking is usually 7.30". At this point, i was really quite annoyed. They got my sons order wrong and gave him plantain instead of rice, my partner ordered a diet coke that never came and none of is had the seasonal vegetables. I believe they ran out of this too and didn't bother to tell us. We were also overcharged. Incredibly disappointing for my partners 40th Birthday.
Me and my boyfriend travelled 2 hours to try this restaurant and we would definitely come again! I got the jerk chicken (you can choose leg and thigh or chicken breast, I chose the breast and it didn’t disappoint! It was so juicy and cooked to perfection!! They cook their jerk on a jerk pan and you can really taste flavour!). My boyfriend got the XL meal, he got jerk chicken on the bone which he enjoyed and it came with a side of prawns. He chose sweet chilli prawns and they were so delicious we should have ordered more! All the sides were perfect, we got rice and peas, coleslaw, fries and dumplings. As for the service, I wish I got the name of the lovely lady who served us, her customer service 10/10 and she had a beautiful smile! I can’t wait to come back to mellows and I would recommend anyone who loves good soul food to come her and satisfy your taste buds!
Love the food, but the SERVICE! We waited 15minutes because we understood, yes it’s a busy service etc but I had to get up and say we are ready to orderrrrrr…. Then we waited another 10 minutes for someone to come over and ask if we are ready?!?😭 little things like wanting more cutlery or needed more drinks etc we kept having to get up and chase someone down. The service was definitely a zero. Food great!

Sunday roast at £25 you wouldn't expect aunt Bessie roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding with less than a spoonful of stuffing. Gravy was super thin.

Mellows is absolutely gorgeous Caribbean food! I opted for the curry goat XL with a side a wings. The curry goat was delicious, flavours were sensational and meat given was generous. Wings were just yum.
The atmosphere was very chill vibes, good music to enjoy. I’d personal prefer more reggae but that’s just me 🤣. Our waitress Tamara was so kind and attentive, not seen service like that in such a long time. Iv been customer service and hospitality a long time, it’s a rare find that kind of energy. I would describe this as more fine dining with the quality and the service, but definitely got the home-cooking flavours

I came here for the Sunday roast and was really impressed with the authenticity of the food, and the portion sizes. The only let down was that the oxtail wasn't ready when we were ordering our food - we were told it would be an hour's wait and so we had to choose other items from the menu. The decor is great and the music added to the ambience. Staff were attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend Mellows!

Would be a good idea if you could order drinks whilst waiting to be seated or even have drinks whilst waiting for our food order to be taken .Staff on the day were very friendly, courteous, and polite, and all said goodbye as we were leaving. but only one lady doing the orders drinks, etc maybe somebody doing drinks would help.Having said that I would 100% go again as I enjoyed the food and drinks would have been 5 across the board if we would have gotten drinks quicker but cant fault them on anything else definately worth a visit you want be dissapointed everybody in our party enjoyed the food

I feel like this place has gone down hill i didnt even enjoy the food tbh and there good to go boxes are a scam it tell u what you supposed to get i.e sunday roast and they give u mac n cheese n curry goat the mac and cheese is horrible all u can taste is pure cheese n no mac the curry goat was just like any other currygoat a bit flavourless i dont think this will be a place I will be returning to to be honest

To start, it took over 20 minutes just to get our drinks, which set a frustrating tone for the evening. The real low point came when my 6-year-old cousin found a long hair in his food. Instead of a sincere apology or an offer to replace the dish, the staff simply struck it from the order, showing a complete lack of remorse.
To add to the confusion, several members of my family were initially informed that there was no lamb or chicken available. Yet, moments later, lamb and chicken mysteriously appeared for three other diners at our table without any communication or explanation. This inconsistency was baffling and felt very unprofessional.
As for the food, my cousin's rice was dry and lukewarm, clearly having been left under the heater for far too long. It was disappointing to see such a lack of attention to detail, especially when I had previously praised this establishment for their takeaway during the lockdown.
Overall, this experience was a letdown, and I won't be returning. The combination of poor service, lack of communication, and subpar food simply isn’t worth the headache.

Came here for some Sunday brunch with my mom and a friend. I’ve been here before but it had been a few years. I was happy with the atmosphere of the restaurant, however the music was a little too loud. I would have liked if it was turned down a little as it was hard to have conversations at the table. The food was absolutely delicious as usual, there was nothing to fault with the meal that we had, there was variety and everything was hot and seasoned perfectly. I ordered the fruit punch to drink, it was lovely I will be coming back.

Unwelcoming, unfriendly and unprofessional experience. Staff were not helpful and 2 of them were rude. Left us waiting and didn't communicate well. Not a welcoming environment at all would not recommend this place. First and last time going here! Didn't stay, walked out. Came in and got the name wrong, told me I had five minutes to order but left us standing around. Couldn't give us a private table and staff were not accommodating or welcoming.

Let me start by saying the food was fantastic. Can't fault it at all. The service was not. The staff aren't friendly or welcoming. The ambience is lacking. It's a shame because it lets the place down. 5 stars for the food. A lacklustre 2-3 stars for the rest.

Went here last night to grab some takeaway, wasn't sure it was available but asked the barman on entering who confirmed. Then proceeded to be ignored for 10 minutes in a near empty restaurant despite various staff walking past me, answering phones and enjoying themselves.

Took almost an hour for us to get seated and then when we got seated had to ask 3 times for a drinks menu. they ran out of chicken and any other meat and the only option was sea bass which was disappointing wish we were told earlier so we didn’t have to wait almost an hour to be seated as we could of gone somewhere else. Food didn’t look great but tasted okay.
Came here for a table booked at 7pm. Food order was taken at 7:25 to be told half the meats were no longer available. We all ordered the chicken and fish. Food came out at 8:10 to be told there was no chicken left. If the communication had been better we would have then got up and left. Everything was just poor. Sad experience tbh came here on a Sunday was seated 20mins after my reservation without any explanation or apology. Ordered food and drinks as seated. Ate my meal before my drinks even arrived, drinks came over once again no apology for the delay. The chefs in the kitchen ringing off the bell for waiters to collect and send out food. The food was mediocre, frozen roast potatoes, very sad looking vegetables. The lamb was edible but dry as a bone. Easy to say mellows is on a downhill, won’t be visiting again
Me , my boyfriend , his auntie and her boyfriend recently visited mellows on the Saturday night. Upon arrival, we were seated straight away and given a food menu. Unbeknown to us , we were waiting for a drinks menu , which we then realised you had to scan the QR code on the table (which the waitress never said). We then ordered our lunch food, which took 45 minutes for the starter to arrive as they “couldn’t find” the chicken wings. We then recieved our mains which was cold , dry & the prawns were missing out the pasta which we paid extra for. Drinks were also really slow , we had to order 2 drinks at a time. The waitress started clearing our table before a couple of us had even finished eating which was extremely rude, then throws the bill on the table before we even asked for it. The overall atmosphere was good in there, food and service however wasn’t.

Booked on line a week Tues 24th took my bank details I sent emails to confirm no reply after three times ringing as someone was going to call me the night before nobody did or the next day before 2 when they were opening. Two of my guest actually went to the restaurant to be told unfortunately due to online booking service had gone down there were no tables available other than one table of 4 which we had booked for a party of 13 people. This was very disappointing unprofessional friends and family travelling moving shifts and finishing work early. We booked an earlier slot for the 3 guest at 4.30 4 other guests at 5.30 the rest had to swop seats in between we managed. We all had a wonderful time drinks food was fabulous but such a disappointment on the booking side. No reply no response I'd like to say we persevered. Please think about your customers.

It wasn't a busy day, due to bad weather. However we was made to wait 10+mins before a waitress came over to take a drink order. That order seemed quite a while to fulfil also. At which point we ordered starters and mains. The food itself was really well portioned and simply heavenly.

Went for a family birthday, table of 8 drinks look 30mins to arrive at the table with one drink outstanding that took a further 20mins. Food arrived not long after around a 55min wait! Ordered chicken off the bone for one meal as meat on the bone isn’t for everyone, food arrived with every dish having meat on the bone, the waiter purposely avoided the table and sent someone else. I believed if your taking the order and confirmed the meals as the last dish to be brought over this should have been picked up & bringing something else to there attention just gets tiring!
Firstly, the food was excellent, authentic with no compromise on taste.
The service (not with the food) was amateur, slow and distracting. One of the male 'servers' was prancing around full of ego, not going anywhere to do anything in particular just walking around in an animated manner being very distracting.
The cutlery was taken away with the 'amazing' starter plate. When the main came out, I had to ask for fresh cutlery but instead of bringing it straight away she decided just to chill for a while chatting to the the man who was walking around, mentioned above.
We were ASKED if we wanted more drinks when our mains arrived, we also asked for water for the table, the water never arrived and by the time our drinks turned up, after prompting, we had all but finished our mains.
Table napkins were the small black square type you have in most place to rest your drinks on, these were being used as table napkins!! The cutlery came wrapped in these, see picture. These are not intended to be used as napkins as they are just too small therefore inadequate, especially when dealing with juicy finger food.
The music was via a boom box rather than strategically place speakers giving out surround sound. Which was also distracting for conversations.

Mellow’s Bar needs to franchise!! The jerk chicken was tender and succulent, the curry goat tasted like it came straight from Montego Bay at aunty Pats! Good vibes, good staff, good music and all at a very good price! 👍
We visited here for my daughters 18th birthday. The food was amazing and really generous portions definitely worth the money! The cocktails were lush too! Great atmosphere and the staff were all lovely especially the man that served us while we was there. Highly recommend!

One Friday I called to book a table and was told to do this on the website. When I checked there were no suitable times. The following day I again tried to book but this proved too complicated as they required all of my details including a credit card, so I decided to walk there as we were only a few minutes away.
When I got there, I asked for a table. The guy asked if I had a reservation and I said no, but I had tried to book one. He replied by saying that they don't accept walk-ins. I looked around at the empty tables.
Clearly, they didn't want my custom nor were they welcoming or friedndly. I won't go there again and I suggest going to one of the many other great restaurants which are nearby.

Service isn’t the best and needs to be worked on. For example, we had to specifically ask them if they’re only serving Sunday roast once we were sat down as they didn’t explain it to us. Also, some waiters could do with being a bit more friendly and smile more. Nevertheless, the food was banging. Would definitely come back. It was a Sunday so they were only serving Sunday roast, really enjoyed the food and flavours. It tasted authentic
If you are ever in Birmingham, I urge you to try this authentic Caribbean Jamaican restaurant. When you walk in the ambience of the restaurant is great, it is warm and welcoming and the staff are just the same. The food is delicious with a real authentic taste, the seasoning and what they offer is just out of this world. I have been following them on Instagram for a long time now and it was on my bucket list on a restaurant to visit when I visited Birmingham and I was fortunate to be able to do that on on the 6th of July. This restaurant you will need to book as it is in demand and gets booked out quite quickly especially on Saturday evenings. You will not regret it, you will just keep coming back for more. Compliments to the chef and the staff for making my visit a wonderful experience.
Great food, really tasty, flavourful, and a nice, refined take on traditional carribean food. The cocktails were tasty in some cases (strawberry daiquiri and rumbay punch, but others a bit bland e.g. vodka cranberry).
Service wasn't particularly great, given dirty glasses and no apology given. However, the other staff member was friendly and had a good laugh with us.

We went for a late lunch. The food was awesome, staff were helpful and we will certainly be going again.
A nice place to eat out, i was impressed with the food and enjoyed my meal. Good atmosphere and vibes, I think the restaurant could be a bit bigger for more space. I would definately go back again.
Another brilliant visit to Mellow's. Great atmosphere upon entry and was greeted by polite staff members. Unfortunately had to wait 20 minutes to be seated despite our reservation, but once seated it was a 5 star experience. I had the Sunday roast which was superb. The lamb and oxtail were both cooked beautifully along with all the sides and trimmings. I will be back for this if life spare.
Lovely restaurant. There's a large welcoming bar as you walk in. Friendly staff to greet you. The menu offers plenty of choice and the food is excellent. The only small issue would be that if you like a beer there is nothing on draught, it is bottles only. Other than than I would recommend anyone to book here. We'll definitely be returning.

We all ordered XL plates and no way was it filling as what we expected.. when I upload the pics look at the hand in comparison to the salmon.. the price was 1 dumpling is ridiculous.. the mocktails are too sweet.. for me the price has increased but the portion size has massively decreased we left somewhat disappointed and to be honest I won’t be coming back here again.. I had fried chicken and the portion for the fried chicken was also smal.. one person had a normal size meal and again that was very small.. ( couple ladies had salmon and stated it was very salty) so again it was a major let down and now to over hyped!

Visited here at lunchtime on a weekend and it was fairly busy. I recommend booking in advance if possible. Very friendly greeting on arrival.
I only had time for a quick meal so opted for the jackfruit curry with Rice and peas. Excellent food beautifully presented.

This restaurant is absolutely AMAZING! First visit today and it won’t be our last. The food was next level DELICIOUS ….. authentic, so tasty, good sized portions and great presentation. A open view of the kitchen where the chefs are cooking (and singing 🎵). The staff were fantastic, happy and smiling with great knowledge of the menu and excellent service. Big shout out to Zee for looking after us tonight your service was truly outstanding! Great atmosphere and beautiful dining area. Loved the garden space too! Exceeded all my expectations. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Food was okay… small portion and rice and peas tasted bland. Really bad customer service one of the mixraced girls with curly hair had bad attitude did not serve us at all when waiting 30 mins to order , I had asked her if I could order her vexed up self gave me attitude. Thanks to the other girls who served us they were amazing. Black people need to do better one smile one little greeting would be nice instead of giving me attitude because I asked to order 😩😩.
Amazing first experince for myself, food was nice and portion size was big. Its ashame i never had enough time to fully enjoy it. Atmosphere and vibes 10/10 staff were very friendly and respectful .
The only issue was x1 order was slightly wrong. We highlighted this as a learning curve rather than criticism but definitely we'd go back when we can, to spend more time in Birmingham the train strikes impacted this.

Horrible experience. We pre booked and table. I arrived 10 minutes early for my table. We waited ages for our pre booked table! The food was not even all that, I can cook better. The only good thing about the place was the cocktails. Horrible service, and ok food. Wouldn’t recommend.

I have to be honest I wouldn’t even give this place 1 star. Went over the weekend after so many people have raved about this place for a birthday meal. I thought this was a dressy venue lucky my partner persuaded me to dress casual and I’m glad I did as this is nothing special nothing high end!! Walked in no one acknowledged us literally sat around until someone asked and we mentioned we had a table 10 minute wait to be seated tables were not clean 1 hour in we still hadn’t received our drinks! Food looked good great for pics but tasted appalling!! The jerk is not jerk is boiled chicken with a sauce over it! For anyone who’s used to proper Caribbean shops this food is not Caribbean. Curry goat was ok. The rice was clumped up!! How can you mess up rice? Lol. Everyone seemed to be complaining. Tbh for a mid priced placed this wouldn’t have been THAT bad but for the price they charge nah it’s a joke. We went 85-90? For that price bracket baring in mind we could have gone millers and been treated very well I expect clean tables and to at least be acknowledged seems like a bunch pf kids messing around running a food business. I wouldn’t return if THEY PAID ME 😭 never ever I recommended nothing at this place the food is overrated so so disappointed in all the social media influencers and celebs who have promoted this place

Fantastic food as always great flavours and reasonable price for the quality, however service was poor , ordered a drink when food came out, finished our plates and waited a further 10 minutes still no drinks, asked for the bill and for these to be taken off , still charged for them, waited a further 5 minutes at the front to then be questioned by the same person saying that we had received the drinks.
Used to be my favourite place but what is the reason for the price jump? i used to always get the jerk lamb XL for £21 and now its £32? for the exact same thing ? smh
I had a lovely Mellow’s experience, being Caribbean I find it very hard to find restaurants that are “Caribbean Authentic” but I’ve definitely found my spot it reminds me of when im Back at home, Food is made from and with Love, Presentation wise it’s stunning, Staff are very professional and attentive very good service, the chefs are very nice kudos to them and The drinks are too damn good.
If considering please dont hesitate you will love the experience.

Came here for mothers day. As soon as you walk in restaurant, they greet you with a friendly welcome, staff are friendly. Took a while to take our order. Order some cocktails,, they were very nice. Food was hot, but came with no cutlery, the only downfall about the menu is that it is strictly Sunday roast, you don't have the option to order off the main menu, I brought my two children and they don't like roast dinner so I couldn't have the option to order fries or something they would eat. And they don't do deserts on Sundays. I was most upset about that. When I asked why they don't do deserts on Sunday they told me I need to speak to the owner. So yeah overall, was not impressed.
The food was amazing cant fault it, the service was good but the waiters had a weird obsession of taking our plates before we had finished which was very annoying, made us feel as if we needed to be hurried out
The food here was simply authentic and divine. Granted it is on the pricey side but the food portions are large and the service was very good. I would highly recommend visiting here.

After wanting to try this place for ages we finally went but the waiting time and service were awful. We were starving when we got there and had to wait for half an hour just for drinks and then another half hour to even order food and we got no reassurance from anyone we were literally just blanked until i finally got someones attention. Was so tempted to walkout but we were too hungry. Oh and just to add, part of my order didn’t even come but sure enough they put it on the bill

AUTHENTIC Jamaican food, go for XL combos such fried chicken+ curry goat and jerk chicken+ oxtail, plate will be HUGE with plantains,salad, spicy jerk sauce plus 2 sides you can choose (dumplings 10/10). If this place would have been a wedding venue then I'LL GET MARRIED HERE TOMORROW. OMG I love this place.

Humorous, diligent and professional. How many cairbbean resturants have professional staff? Let alone young, mature, self aware professional staff? Exactly!
I ordered, I saw, I gave thanks, I ate, I paid, I tipped and felt compelled to bless these conductor's of gastronomic delights who created a symphony of herbs spices flavours and soul loving pleasures that you just can't match in other gastornic establishments of fine expereincial dining. What do I mean by experiential? These demigods, weild some serious culinary carribean arts in the kitchen. Mellows has made their kitchen a sacred space. Its restorative, uplifting insoiring lovinng, caring and blessed. Food isnt simply food, its Mellows soul restoring food. Quality well cooked well served well enjoyed well priced love on a dish.
As I said earlier an alchemy of vibes, soul nourishing, problem solving, give thanks to God encouraging cuisine. 🙏🏾 hmm! hmm! hmm!

Absolutely amazing. They catered for our team away day. Prompt service, great interpersonal skills and superb food. I even tried their vegan dish which was amazing 👌🏾👌🏾. Would definitely recommend them 💯💯
Waited half an hour for table (table had been booked), the food was fine (though no better then a decent Caribbean takeaway if I'm honest.Main complaint is the customer service, DO BETTER for the love of god. Would I visit again or even recommend NO I wouldn't.
I called up and spoke to a woman called “Zee”. It’s actually disgusting how people can get away with providing awful customer service. She was talking like she woke up from sleep, she sounded so unhelpful but I didn’t want to judge without reason. So I asked about the parking situation nearby as it shows on Google Earth that there’s a lot of double yellows. She said “I don’t drive so I don’t know but people park anywhere they can find”. I said “that’s not very helpful can you ask someone who does drive then?” She didn’t bother asking anyone, instead she fobbed me off. I then asked to reserve a table for 2. She asked me to do it online, I asked why she can’t do it over the phone, she said “it’s better that you do it online”. At this point I asked her for her name as I simply wasn’t getting anywhere with such a pathetic person. She gave me her name and said she’ll take a look and reserve a table. After a brief hold she asked me for my name to reserve the 8:30pm slot. As I was giving my name, she interrupted and said “no I can’t do it over the phone it has to be done online”. I said “you just advised you can do it over the phone so what has changed?” She said “it has to be done online” - she provided no explanation. I moved onto saying that I won’t bother, and I’ll leave a review. There was nothing but silence from her end, she didn’t bother apologising, or rectifying the situation. She didn’t even bother saying bye. The fact that this atrocious business employs such ridiculous people says a lot. I refuse to pay my hard earned money to a bunch of disrespectful people.

Very good restaurant for all your Caribbean/ Jamaican dishes. Food is amazing and flavourful. Great customer service and they even sing happy birthday to you. It’s a classy urban vibe. Very good for dinner before going on a night out.

However they had nothing left on the menu when we asked. No oxtail, no jerk lamb, no roasted potatoes. So we had no choice than to pick the only other meat option which was curry goat. On receiving our meal I have noticed that there was no stuffing or Yorkshire pudding and they only had a few carrots on the side. I don’t quite understand how this was a Sunday roast. They even fail to mention to us that they were out of stuffing and Yorkshire pudding if I had raised a concern about where the missing food was, they would have not had mentioned. The presentation of the food was awful compared to how they usually present their food. I was massively disappointed.

First time at Mellows on a Sunday afternoon after hearing some great reviews of the place.
The service was okay, bit of a long wait for the food to come out. I had the Sunday Vegan Roast and my fiancè had the Chickpea Curry with Rice and Peas. The Sunday Roast was nice overall and the portion size is generous. In my opinion the vegan seitan steak was a bit plain and the Yorkshire Pudding was missing but I only realised this afterwards and wasn't told about this initially. My fiancè really enjoyed her Chickpea Curry though and said it had great flavours. The mocktails were also very nice. We will be returning customers to try the other food!

The food was amazing. The service was great, and the atmosphere was relaxing.
First, the restaurant was very clean and approximately a 5 min walk from Broad Street. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We had a young lady as a waitress who was kind, articulate, very helpful and lovely 😍. The food didn't take long at all and was hot on arrival. Originally from New York and this has been the best West Indian food I have had in a long time and definitely best in uk. Yes meal was about the price of a trip to Dunns River falls, but worth it. I will be going again.

The service is good, welcoming and smiles for the most part. The decor is very bland and could do with some updating. The seats were nice and comfortable. Outdoor seating was available and would be very nice on warm day.
Drinks were really nice, I enjoyed the cocktails and the mocktail mojitos were really good.
We had the following:
Tempura prawns - fine, basic tasted like the ones I get from Iceland
Chicken wings - quite nice, small, but a good portion
Ackee dumpling - tasty, dumpling a little tough but ackee was good- I like when I see more ackee than saltfish which I did.
Jerk chicken - was OK and had nice flavour
Curry goat - my friends enjoyed this, I thought it was OK..
Jerk lamb - I found this quite disappointing, it was overcooked and so not as soft as I usually like my lamb, it could eat and I did.
Mac and cheese - now this was the winner for me, it was extremely good, plenty of cheese and seasoned well, one of the best mac and cheeses I have had at a restaurant.
Plantain- as I like it, nice and ripe.
All the food was well presented and looks amazing.
There were some things they didn't have which is always disappointing, however overall it is a nice atmosphere with nice food. I Would go again and try something different.
