Visited today. The Supervisor served us. Charming, attentive and knowledgeable enough to describe each of the dishes in order for us to make an informed choice. Ordered the Achar Ghost and Chicken Achari. Both dishes were really tasty, full of flavour. The meat was tender, even though both were Achari dishes there was a distinct difference between the dishes. Ordered the plain naan with butter, again, it was cooked just right, really fluffy and soft, wonderful texture and taste. The fragrance of the naan was exquisite.

I enjoyed my visit to this restaurant. Although they don’t have an online booking system, I was able to make a reservation over the phone. I highly recommend booking ahead if you prefer to sit outside, as that area is a highlight of the restaurant. But if you’re not picky you could just walk in. The courtyard seating is beautiful and well heated, perfect for colder weather.

The food was tasty with good portion sizes, though the Pina Coladas weren’t our favourite.

The staff were helpful in guiding us through the menu. Would recommend!

Gorgeous atmosphere both indoors and throughout the courtyard with great food and top tier service. Menu offers a variety of food including Vegetarian and Gluten Free options; perfect for family members who are coeliac and vegetarian. Effective ordering method on a tablet, and staff who never miss! Muhammad Hashim’s attention to detail was great. He was extremely helpful throughout our meal ensuring we were happy with our food and drinks. Furthermore, he went above and beyond in taking pictures for our family and informing us of other areas to take more. Alam’s a firm favourite delivering consistency across all aspects of serving delicious meals suitable for all. They also offer parking behind the restaurant for which the charge can be redeemed at payment.

Although we went late to the restaurant, the staff still served us the best food, they were kind, polite & welcoming, waiter named Fahad was very receptive.
Infact all of the staff have always been very welcoming & kind whenever we visited this restaurant.
Overall very good management, loved the environment, decorations & aura.

Excellent service and staff. Food was just the icing on top to a wonderful evening. Very generous portions with clean and modern décor. Food was pleasantly presented with copious amounts of salad. There was a slight delay with us getting additional plates and sauces but understandable as they were busy.
Our waiter, Abu Baker, was very attentive and was always around when we needed him, but left us to enjoy our food so that was nice.
Very competitive prices and complimentary water was also given. There is a great garden for outdoor seating but only really caters for groups of 4 or less. But the downstairs and upstairs seating can accommodate larger groups.
Great experience all round. Will be visiting again and recommended to all. Especially the lamb chops, king prawns and salmon.

We’ve been regulars at Alam Restaurant ever since our first visit and for good reason! The food is always delicious and full of flavour. The staff are warm, welcoming, and make the whole ordering process smooth and easy.

A special shoutout to Mohammad Hashim for going the extra mile yesterday and making my mum’s birthday feel truly special we really appreciated it!

There’s convenient parking just around the corner, the seating caters to all group sizes, and the atmosphere is lovely. The owners are incredibly hospitable, which makes every visit feel like a warm welcome back.

Highly recommend!

I wouldn’t even give this place one star. The staff are extremely rude. We travelled from London to make a reservation for 15 people for the following day. The member of staff who dealt with us was extremely rude. He literally had no manners and really needs to learn how to speak to others, we did not expect a lot from him and simply just wanted some information about the food and wanted to see the space. He kept repeating that we were wasting his time( this was 2 mins into the conversation). Please hire staff who can actually communicate with others in a positivity manner and not shout at the customers like kids.

Absolutely appalling service. I came in to make a reservation for the following day and was met with immediate rudeness from a member of staff. From the very beginning, it felt like we were an inconvenience rather than potential customers. We politely asked to view the garden area, and he refused multiple times until the floor manager instructed him to show us.

Once we finally got to see the space and began discussing our options (literally less than a minute in), he interrupted us, said “don’t waste my time,” and walked off. Completely unprofessional. A few minutes later, he returned only to tell us to "think outside" and then kicked us out of the restaurant — while it was raining and nearly 10:40 PM — claiming they were closed, even though other customers were still clearly inside eating.

This is by far one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. If this is how they treat people trying to book a table, I can only imagine what the actual dining experience is like. Needless to say, we’ll never be returning — and I strongly advise others to avoid this place entirely.

Amazing restaurant, food was absolutely delicious one of my favourite places to come. My server, Muhammad Hashim, was so kind as he came to check if everything was ok. He introduced me and my friend to the garden area, which we had never been to and was absolutely blown away when we saw our seating area. When we sat down he offered to take pictures of me and my friend and the pictures came out perfect. Highly recommend to come perfect for dates, nights out with friends or family, catching up with mates, etc.

Sat in the courtyard with the heaters, it was comfortable. Ordered via the qr code and the phone, food came out shortly after, curries and bread tasted delicious. It was worth our visit

We had a fantastic experience at Alum. The food was absolutely amazing — full of flavour and beautifully presented. I had an amazing experience at Alum Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious every dish was fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented.

What made the evening even more memorable was the exceptional service from Hashim, he was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Hashim made sure we were comfortable the entire time and offered great recommendations that turned out to be spot on. His warm and professional attitude really stood out.

Highly recommend Alum Restaurant for both the food and the outstanding service.
Ask for Hashim if you go!

Really great place to eat
Food was very nice
Starters were banging
Try the nachos guys they were lovely.
Burgers were very nice.
I ordered a rice with chicken manchori but i didnt like it due to my taste buds.
The guy serving me gave us free deserts and went the extra mile. Really greatful for the way we was treated.
Defo come back
Well recomended.

Came here in January.
Amazing, delicious food. The dynamite prawn starters and ribs were so delicious. Great range of deserts as well.
Service was on point, everything was great about our visit. Will definitely be coming again.
