After having visited a number of Tattu restaurants we decided to book Birmingham Tattu as we'd always has a great experience previously.We were seated in an average part of the restaurant, but was disappointed to not be in under the cherry blossom as I'd mentioned it when booking. In addition, id also put on my booking we were celebrating our anniversary and a voucher towards the booking which none of the staff knew. For the price you'd expect little details like this to be remembered and mentioned.We ordered our drinks, followed around 15 minutes later by ordering food. The food arrived fairly promptly and was delicious as always. We ordered lots of the small plates which arrived in good timing such that as once was finished, another arrived. However, after 45 minutes our cocktails had not arrived. We asked 3 different members of staff, 1 who just said okay and walked off and we didn't see again, another who said they'd check and didn't come back and the third (who took our order) said that he didn't even put the drinks order through. After another 30 minutes we'd finished our food when the drinks arrived. We asked for the bill and we're surprised to see that the drinks were on there and no offer to take them off, despite arriving as we wanted to leave 1.5 hours after ordering.In addition when getting the bill, despite adding the voucher code to the booking as requested it wasn't applied and furthermore staff kept saying the voucher code was redeemed. It wasn't. They said we'd have to pay the full amount or buy another voucher?! After 3 attempts giving them the same code they said it did infact work. We begrudgingly paid the rest of the bill with the cocktails included. No apology from staff, no question to ask how or experience was. Super disappointing experience for what should have been an enjoyable anniversary meal.

We had a wonderful time. We went to celebrate my wife's birthday and had a magical experience from start to finish. All of the staff made us feel welcome and were exceptionally professional. Our server, Adriana, was astoundingly attentive, kind, and knowledgeable.The food was out-of-this-world good. We had the imperial Sunday Roast with the sticky short ribs and WOW. Every bite was delicious. The only comment I might have is to serve the Bao Buns and Pancakes in a steamer so they can stay warm (as they cooled quite quickly), and to double the amount of scallions/spring onions and cucumber (as these were not enough for the amount of meat that they came with). The drinks were wonderful and very carefully crafted.The only sour note was when we received the bill, a service charge had been added even though we were a party of two. This was not made clear on the menu and is a pet peeve of mine. I still tipped the server as she was wonderful, but I wish they would not do this as it is very frustrating for customers, particularly when it is not clearly indicated on the menu.We would absolutely come back. The experience was overall incredible and we had a delightful time, I only gave four stars because of the mandatory added service charge.

2nd visit to Tattu, first in Birmingham. Our waiter Adam was lovely.he was professional but happy to engage in a conversation. The atmosphere was very relaxing. Wait times were very good. Food was delicious, you get alot of food, the portions could have been shared between two- if you are willing to share! The desserts were lovely and very "insta" worthy. We sat downstairs and the focal point seemed to be the stairs although the whole restaurant was very well decorated. Definitely somewhere id go to celebrate everyday if I could!

We had the most excellent experience here. Wonderful service and the staff were super knowledgeable about their ingredients. I ate downstairs in the Yin section, which can only be described as lush and a total vibe. I had the pleasure of spending my meal with Gretel, who was just fabulous. She made sure that I wasn’t just ok; she made sure I was welcomed and special. That she brought me a celebratory sparkler and fortune cookie on learning it was my first time in Birmingham was a really extra touch and a great way to end a great meal!

The most amazing atmosphere and service from the moment we walked in.Mo looked after our table for the night and was extremely attentive, gave recommendations and really cared about giving us an exceptional experience.I don’t know the names of the other staff members that we interacted with (the bartender and waiter who took us to our table) but they were all impeccable.

Great service experience! from the meet and greet to the service and great food. Our server knowledge of the menu was top notch, and we tried her recommendations of Wagyu Beef Dumpling, Sticky Beef Short Rib, Wok fried Angry bird, broccoli stems and s Jasmin rice washed down with a great glass of Malbec and Jade Rabbit cocktail for my wife who was celebrating her birthday. Wow! This restaurant is impressive. I loved the decor. Beautifully designed and comfortable. I throughly enjoyed celebrating my birthday at Tattu in Birmingham. This was my second visit to Tattu and by far it didn’t fail. Food is delicious and so tasty. Ambiance is lovely and so was the decor. Micheal who was our host for our table was very approachable. We were party of 13 people and he made sure everything ran smoothly with our order. Thank you micheal for your great customer service and making my day. Totally recommend to visit Tattu.

As Asian ( Taiwanese). To be honest… kinda disappointed…Restaurant environment is beautiful, service is very good. ( Good for influencers to post on their social media)But the food, I put too much expectation because I think the food should match this kind of price(£26-£28 Chicken dishes, too salty). Tastes just same as other Chinese restaurants with prices £7-£10.That’s the reason we disappointed.Maybe this restaurant good at cooking lobster. So next time, we will come for the lobster.*A little reminder, this restaurant don’t take phone booking for seats. They only accept online website booking. If you call the restaurant for seat booking. They will said “ I’m sorry, we are fully booked tonight”. So we book the seats from website after they deny our phone booking.

Our server Bryon was attentive and as it was our first time walked us through everything. His recommendation were a hit. As it was a special occasion we spent more but there were a variety of options to suit different price ranges.

Our evening here was made so special with the calm and beautiful atmosphere, the friendly staff and excellent food. The meat and fish was cooked to perfection and the flavours were impeccable. We felt very looked after by our server Izzie who recommended us some of her favourite dishes (which are now also our favourites) and made our night even more magical with a little celebration for my brother's graduation. Would recommend coming here for a special night of good food with great ambiance.

So I took my mom for her 69 birthday 🎉 to TATTU restaurant and I was amazed how lovely this venue was including staff. Food was excellent and no complain there, staff that service us was brilliant and very polite and respectful.The only point I wouldn't recommend turn more lights on because it was difficult to read the menu. Went with my girlfriend as a big treat for our anniversary and we could not be happier. Adam was our server and was attentive and friendly from start to finish. Adam was more than happy to answer any questions about the food when asked, making sure to check if everything was good. When I said how much I liked the green roe, he even brought me more! The food was exceptional and filling, well worth the price.At the end of the meal, Adam was kind enough to be our photographer and even show us the most photogenic spots in the restaurant for a memorable pic.Honestly our meal was made so special by the staff, everyone was polite, welcoming and very professional. 100% I will be returning soon with my family.

I recently dined at Tattu and had an exceptional experience, largely thanks to our server, Hosna. Her warm and friendly demeanor made us feel right at home. She provided excellent recommendations and ensured we had everything we needed.The food was delicious, from the flavorful appetizer to the perfectly cooked main dish. The ambiance was cozy and elegant, making it ideal for any occasion.Hosna’s attentiveness and passion for her job truly enhanced our visit. I highly recommend Tattu and look forward to returning, especially to be served by Hosna again.

This was our 2nd visit to Tattu and on this occasion it was a special birthday booking. We were served by a male who repeatedly leaned over our table to reach for empty glasses/table accessories without even saying excuse me or apologizing. I get that empty plates or other items need to be collected but at least have the manners to say excuse me. We ordered the three course lunch time menu which comes with complimentary jasmine rice. The food comes out as and when it is prepared as we were told this.When the main dishes arrived my partners serving of rice did not arrive which meant she had a main course without any rice. My partners main dish was almost finished so I raised this with a waitress who bluntly replied so shall I get you the rice now?? I highlighted the issue that her dish was almost finished and so was mine so was she going to eat a bowl of rice on its own? She again rudely replied so what do you want to do without applying any empathy or apology to the situation. One of the managers Jenny came over to our table who was explained of the situation and I raised the service of the waitress which was not even acknowledged or an apology made. Jenny advised she would get us some complimentary drinks which I declined as my partner had not had a complete meal. I highlighted again to Jenny that it was a special occasion and the experience had been spoilt. The restaurant was not even busy so I don’t understand how they missed this, neither did Jenny explain how this may have occurred. Jenny offered us free desserts which we already had ordered at the start of our experience. My partner left the restaurant still hungry. I raised the issue with Jenny again at the end of our meal but it felt as if she just dismissed our concerns. It is a shame as the food / environment is the reason we visited again but not sure we will again. Some basic customer / table service skills needs to be given to the waiter/waitress reminding them not to completely lean over customers especially at one point when I was still eating.

I Made a booking reservation for 6.45 for a table of 2 at the Birmingham restaurant as I have previously been to the London tattu and loved it. I was 15 minutes late which I had politely called to inform them. I had arrived 17 minutes late and I had to wait for a table as they had given mine away. I had waited a total of 1 hour and 45 mins and I was still waiting. I decided to book the Mayan restaurant instead as I had ordered a lot of drinks whilst I was kept waiting. Olivia is a very rude door hostess who is not at all accommodating. I will never come to this restaurant again. Do not waste your time or money here.

Staff were all so kind and lovely and we were STILL talking about the food this morning. It’s the first time I’ve been out for a meal in a long time - and it was just perfect. Get the Imperial Roast! You won’t regret it. We were upstairs in a little dining room by ourselves and it felt so special.

A very underwhelming experience. I can see from the other reviews that people mention the atmosphere. There was certainly no atmosphere where we were seated. We were crammed into a small room upstairs that was very impersonal.The food was delicious, the service was great but the whole experience was nothing special at all. I didn’t like the lack of choice given if you weren’t opting for a set menu. Too much food for two people on the set menu so therefore a waste of money as it certainly isn’t cheap at £98 per head if you cannot eat it all. Very expensive for what is it.

food was gorgeous, and the staff were lovely :) they didn't rush or anything. Was awesome. Could argue the music was a tiny bit loud but other than that it was perfect, the downstairs suite is beautiful :D

Woooooow💃💃💃💃💃it was the best date night ever . I mean the serene, clean and romantic environment, staff and service . It was top notch! I have started to refer friends and family. Adam attended to us, assisted with food choices and all our needs also with taking pictures😊😊. Oh! what a night out in a fancy restaurant with great pictures. Ella, she was so nice and lovely. I will give the staff 100/10, there was also a surprise happy anniversary on the restaurant. I will definitely come here again. The sea food and angry woke bird was so delicious. Thanks to the team; you guys are awesome

Went here on Saturday for a group 30th birthday, quite a long time to be seated as advised to come 15 minutes before booking so we were actually waiting round for 45 minutes. Staff were really kind and attentive and excellent service, the venue was spectacular and a great visual experience, the food wasn’t particularly amazing bearing in mind the price, and also ordering seafood having to wait for other courses it then was luke warm so it just wasn’t the best. If this was a standard restaurant I would have given it a higher rating but due to the reputation and price I wouldn’t personally go again or recommend.

Went here for my girlfriend’s birthday, was really impressed by the decor of the restaurant and how well everything was organised. We was seated by mark and then was looked after by vahbiz who couldn’t do enough for us, both these staff was very professional and brilliant at there jobs. Food was amazing and came out fast. Will definitely return in the near future

Mohammed was a wonderful server from start to finish! Polite, attentive and knowledgeable! He is an asset to the Tattu team and made my 4th Tattu visit the best so far ! I visited Tattu last Sunday with my friend and the restaurant is really beautiful😍! Interior is amazing and the booth seats were very comfy. My friend and I were greeted by our lovely waitress Charlie who looked after us the whole time. We explained to her that it was our first time dining at Tattu and we were stuck on what to choose for drinks and food. Charlie helped us both out on what to choose by giving us her recommendations. The choices we chose were delicious! All thanks to Charlie! Especially the cocktails! Although the noodle portion could be bigger. I also had a birthday plate brought over by the lovely Izzy who made my dining experience extra special! By giving me really nice well wishes:) I would definitely recommend Tattu to anyone looking for a fine dining cuisine with friendly staff💕

We absolutely LOVE Tattu, come for a family celebration. The ambience of the place is so very beautiful, it really is like walking into a Instagram picture.The service is excellent, the staff are very attentive, friendly and super informative with food choices.Our server was Komal and she was so lovely, helping us to navigate the menu for set meals, in which we chose the Emperor Wave, which was to die for!!The Duck pancakes were just *Chefs kiss , as was all the other dishes we chose, she was super friendly, along side another guy ( I totally forgot his name) but he was also so very friendly and attentive.We certainly left satisfied, and look forward to another visit in the near future.Also a little thankyou for the cute desert plate as a Happy Birthday to me.

Tattu continues to be a favored dining spot, and this visit marks our third or fourth time here. The customer service consistently radiates warmth and hospitality, although there were moments when the pace of ordering felt rushed. While the dishes are of high quality and well-prepared, their small portions may not fully justify the high prices. Despite the visually appealing presentation, some dishes lacked flavor. It would enhance the dining experience to have larger plates for the main courses, as eating from small side plates can be uncomfortable. Additionally, while maintaining cleanliness is crucial, continuous table cleaning by waitstaff while diners are still eating can be off-putting. Overall, Tattu remains a charming and picturesque venue, with opportunities for improvement in customer service and pricing.

This was a wonderful place for a special meal. The dim sum and small plates made great starters - my partner was crazy about the tuna, I loved the pork dumplings. All of the main courses were great - the barbecue chicken, the chili chicken, the steak (a surprisingly generous portion). And the desserts were works of art - they highly recommended the Asian Pear Sticky Toffee Pudding, which was perfect, but I thought the white chocolate dragon's egg beat it out by a centimeter. The service was perfection, the wine list was great. Couldn't have been better.

It was out first time at Tattu and it was a brilliant experience. The service was great as we were waited on beautifully. High praise to Charlie who was ever so patient and friendly despite us taking ages to decide on the menu. She went over and beyond - talking us through the menu whilst giving valuable advice.Overall, it was a beautiful experience - ambience, service and food likewise. We shall be back!

We had the most wonderful experience today and that was down to the wonderful personable experience provided by Adam. From the moment we settled down, he was very friendly, very helpful and lead a really lovely introduction, he explained everything well and really made us feel looked after. He always checked if there was anything else we wanted and was always easy to approach. It was my sisters 21st birthday and she can be shy - he engaged that well and very kindly brought her out a happy birthday cookie, he completely respected she doesn’t like the singing and attention and did it in a way she really enjoyed and felt comfortable. This was the first time a restaurant has been able to pick up on that and make her feel comfortable like that so it was really appreciated! He was really kind, he really delivered a first class service. He went above and beyond and is a huge credit to Tattu Birmingham. I have been to tattu around 10 times and this has to be hands down my smoothest and my favourite experience thanks to Adam, the service is always amazing but this felt very personal. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening!

I really enjoyed this place. The service and the foods are immaculate.One of the waitresses, I'm very sure her name was Erika/Erica if I heard correctly, she has blonde hair. Her customer services was amazing and she was so nice and polite.Everyone wished me a happy birthday too and the atmosphere and scenery was lovely, I recommend this place!

Fantastic place!! The atmosphere was absolutely amazing, very cozy and elegant. From the moment we sat down we have been greeted by the most friendly waiter Mo, who has very kindly shown us through the menu explanation all we have to know as it was our first time dining at Tattu. Mo has given us the best service, making us laugh and enjoy his presence :) We will 100% return and recommend this place to all friend and family. Also the food tastes as amazing as it looks, very rich in flavour. My second experience here was VERY disappointing. The food was absolutely atrocious. We ordered two Moon Stand lunches for two people and received no Moon Stand which was quite ironic especially since other tables around us did. The chicken dish we ordered tasted as if it had been re-heated in the microwave and were offered a replacement which tasted the same. The food was cold, lacked taste and overall severely disappointing. Even the drinks tasted watered down. Save your money and avoid this place unless you want rock hard chicken and cold dishes that all taste the same.

First time going to Tattu and it was amazing; went for our anniversary. Everything from the service, food, drinks and atmosphere were incredible.Our server Byron was fantastic and really made the experience. He talked us through the menu and tended well to us throughout the whole evening. Brilliant service from Shean, made our first time experience at tattu impeccable. He’s patient and knowledgeable of the menu and options to try was amazing. Felt as if I’ve been to tattu more regularly, I wish this type of service was found everywhere else’s. First I must begin by saying the atmosphere is absolutely incredible. Fine dining to the finest. The staff are lovely and friendly and made me and the Mrs feel welcomed on our anniversary. The food was absolutely gorgoues, would recommend in the future they have more of a halal pallete, but overall the vegetarian options were amazing aswell.

First time at Tattu, definitely won't be the last! As soon as we arrived, the staff were attentive, our waiter was excellent, we told him it was our first time at Tattu, he helped us with menu choices and explained the dishes too us. Food was plentiful, very tasty and very well presented. Cocktails were delicious also. There was no rush to get us out, atmosphere was good. It may not be the cheapest, but you get an amazing theatrical dining experience. We went to celebrate a family members birthday. A wonderful treat we hope to repeat!

Excellent welcome, noting our special occasion and seating us in a beautiful booth without asking to be, which was a very nice gesture also later bringing out a birthday message. Delicious and very well presented food - everything was well made and tasty. Our favourites were the dim sum - our waiter suggested we have done of our dim sum with our main course which worked really well instead of how we ordered. Dramatic cocktails were fun and tasty. Atmosphere is incredible with the option of yin and yang - fantastic decor, murals and deep house music to further intensify the experience - love it here! Can't wait to go back. Thank you Tattu.
